Kate Voegele Lift Me Up Tour
my surgery date
the other day i went to Phoenix Children's Hospital to have a tour of the place and see what kind of things i'll be hooked up to and such. i got to meet some other girls that are having the same surgery i am over the summer and i just have to say "am i the only normal girl with scoliosis???" as i sat there during the tour i was looking around the room and realized i was surrounded by a bunch of WEIRDOS!! i know it sounds mean, but these were seriously the strangest and most awkward girls i've ever met!! and i know that sounds pretty hypocritical because i have had my fair share of oh-my-gosh-do-you-see-what-tobie-just-did-isn't-she-psycho moments, but there was one girl who just stared out the window the entire time and there was another who sat there crying!! i'm not THAT depressed about this surgery! And i felt a little better not only after they let me know that i'd be monitoring and controlling my own drug dossage, but i saw the backs of the girls around me and even the parents asked "what's wrong with her? her back looks fine to me!" i really feel bad for the girl who had a hump on her back and the girl who's shoulder-blade was sticking out, they're going to have a tougher time recovering then i will. i hope that because my condition isn't as noticeable that's a good sign! :) even though i'm scared, i'm going to try my best to stay positive and be my regular joking self. hospitals aren't always considered the happiest or funnest of places, but i hope that i won't be effected too much. i enjoy laughing too much! i feel so much better to know that i've got the greatest of friends and family that are going to be surrounding me 24/7. My dad just let me know the other day that he's going to get the internet put on his laptop so that i can use it when i'm bed-ridden, so i'll try my best to blog about my recovery from this surgery! thank you so much to everyone that has said they'll keep me in their prayers! i love you!

HA-HA-HA!! I bet you ARE the only normal girl with it :) Ok, lets not say normal... uh... Lets just say your on the bottom of the creeper chain :) I have no idea what that means.
hahaha. they were just beyond awkward!! the kind of people that you look at and just know that they have more than one problem. i know that it's not nice to say, but it's the truth. maybe one day i'll find a girl that's normal...or towards the bottom of the creeper chain, like me...what the?? lol.
Tobie, Don't be scared k?? You will totally be fine and me and Ky will smuggle in Fresa for you to keep you young and laughing! haha, Who ever thought our fresa parties would take place in a hospital?!?! HA!
FRESA EN EL HOSPITAL?? QUE RICO!!! hahaha. don't even bother smuggling it in, they told me they won't care if people bring food or soda in, but the soda has to be flat :( because the bubbles will upset my stomach!! lame! "i would know" hahaha. but a fresa party will definitely be the cure to my pain...that and a ton of morphine and valum. hahaha.
