I FOUND A SHOW!!!

just in time! i almost thought i'd go crazy without some good television! but i found a great show. "Drop Dead Diva" is on Lifetime on Sundays and i lovveee it!!! there are some cheesy parts because...it is Lifetime we're talking about here, but it's still a really good show! if you can't find anything to watch on tv like me then you should definitely check out "Drop Dead Diva" at 9pm. The 3rd episode airs tonight, but they show re-runs on Lifetime thruought the week. :)

so my summer project for AA Junior English is to read A Tale of Two Cities along with 2 other books off of a super long list of boringness. at first, i was excited to read a new book. but i was WRONG. here's how the reading has gone so far...

Henry Van Dyke Poem

i was listening to this podcast and they quoted a poem by Henry Van Dyke that made me cry because it was so beautiful and i couldn't help but think about the people in my life that i've loved but they've passed on. so this poem is for all of you out there that've grieved over the loss of a loved one. don't worry...this is a hopeful poem, not a dreary one! i seriously want this poem read at my funeral!!


I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength.

I stand and watch her until at length she hangs
like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky

i'm not a HUGE fan of country music- i've always felt like i needed to be because my family is and well...we live in a desert- but i thought i'd blog about the few country musicians that i found i actually enjoy listening to.

haylee tagged me in blogging about the things that i dislike, but it seems that everyone else likes and let me tell you...I'VE GOT TONS! hahaha. so let me begin:

#1. LA Lakers/Kobe Bryant


this guy and this whole team is soooo cocky it makes me sick! i hated watching them demolish the magic in the finals this year and it made me cringe to see Kobe get yet another nba championship. this guy has no sportsmanship whatsoever and he has the biggest ego in the league! i don't care what his accomplishments are as a player, he's just such an overconfident butthole!

i know...i'm terrible for putting this, but i remember loving it in jr. high and i read all of the books but i think it's just becoming too much for me. with the movies and the dolls and just everything is too much. plus i think that Robert Pattinson is uggers and i might have been more interested in the movies if they'd chosen a hotter Edward.

i know that it's terrible to say that i hate politics because i'm supposed to be "the future of America" but i honestly was so annoyed with the presidential election. there never seems to be a perfect candidate for presidency and they all end up criticized for being president in the end anyways. the only president that was close to perfection was George Washington and Abraham Lincoln but they both dead so it looks like we're screwed.

there's just something about that place that gives me the heebiejeebies. i've always had fun when i go with friends, but there are some creepy people that hang out there and you always end up seeing a strangers "junk" because it accidently slipped out of their teenie weenie bikini.

#8. Disney Channel Stars Turned Singers (except Hillary Duff, but she's even getting a little racy in her newest music video)


first off...who told these kids they could sing?? minus David Archuleta and Taylor Swift, this album is CRAP! they're terrible and the only people that are keeping their careers alive are the obsessive tweens that buy their music. if i were in their situation, i would just stick to acting...but even then they aren't very good.

the lyrics to her music are horrible and she should be ashamed of herself. plus, her voice sucks anyways.

#10. Star Wars


everyone in my family is die-hard star wars fans, but i honestly think it's the nerdiest thing on the planet! plus, i always hated the storyline and the fact that they didn't put the movies in order...HOW DUMB IS THAT? the only reason i'd ever take the time to watch these movies with my family is hayden christensen is hot and i'd get free popcorn.

tv could not have chosen a less convenient time for it to send all of my favorite tv shows on haitus!! i've been laying around my house ever since i got out of the hospital and watching some of the crappiest shows ever created!!! any of you seen "NYC Prep"??? do yourself a favor and don't watch it!!! it is by far the worst reality tv show i've ever seen!! it's the New York City knock off of Laguna Beach. a bunch of 15-18 year old teens living on their own in New York City. what the heck??? that's not reality!!! *sigh* i miss my one tree hill, psych, glee, and the office!!! ♫BABY COME BACK!!♫ hahaha. i can't wait for all of my favorite shows to come back, but at the same time i'm dreading it because they arrive the same time school does. bleh! August and September will be bittersweet because i'll be watching my fav tv shows, but i'll be back to school. who knows?? i might not even have time to watch television with all the AP classes i've signed myself up for. AHHHHHHHHH!!! i hate my life :(

Warped Tour 2009 and Red Car Wire

so gina went to Warped Tour yesterday and since she's the coolest person in the world she brought me back a picture signed by The Maine (Pat even put "get well soon" hahaha) and a Thrice t-shirt!!! i freaking love everything she got me!! she's amazing. so anyways...
she also got to meet the members of a band called Red Car Wire (she loves them). i'd heard of them before, but i'd never really taken the time to listen to their music. today i have been and I LOVE THEM!!! honestly, i liked it better when davey and garrett were in the band because now they've added 3 new member and davey is with Freshman 15. i was kind of sad because i've got a huge crush on garrett!! he's 18 and really hot. anyways i really fell in love with this band after i watched this youtube interview of the old band. they're hilarious!

EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK THIS BAND OUT!! THEY'RE AMAZING!! THEY'VE GOT A NEW EP OUT AND I WOULD RECCOMEND LISTENING TO THEIR SONG "RACHEL LEIGH COOK" IT MAKES ME LAUGH BECAUSE THE REASON THEY NAMED IT THAT IS BECAUSE THEY THINK SHE'S THE PERFECT GIRL. HAHAHA.
